nflguy, did you notice when you asked the question about the homeowner dues, Dave EVADED the question by saying it is PRIMARILY funded through sponsors and donations. Why doesn't he just come out and say ...Yes, a portion of our homeowner's dues go to the Fall Festival. Again, why are they hiding this information?
Way too much secrecy and way too little accountability.

Three posts were just deleted from the Fall Festival thread. They were in response to Dave's post about legal action being taken and disgruntled homeowners. The posts deleted stated that they did not feel that a moderator should post something negative and threating like that. They also asked about homeowners dues paying for the fall festival and neither were attacking anybody. Why is someone deleted when they want to know about our homeowner's dues?

Yes, I did notice that the question was not answered..
I think its pretty clear that our dues are paying for stuff like this but im not sure why it would need to be kept secret.

I have been banned on the other website for echoing your questions on the homeowner's dues. This place is full of corrupt people interested in furthering their own political aspirations. All they had to do was answer the question that you put to them and it would be over.
I encourage all homeowners to ASK QUESTIONS. It is our right to know what is being done with our dues, etc...

I wonder if Tiger could provide some insight. He seems abrasive but also seems to know whats going on behind the scenes.

tiger made it clear on the other board that he and the developer were not on friendly terms, so I am not sure why you think he knows what is going on.

I dont know for sure if he does or not. But he and others would never give details of why they were upset with the AC. I assume it was they feared having their posts deleted. I only wish to hear BOTH sides of the story. My position is that we should support those who wish to help our community, but i doubt those upset homeowners are behaving abrasively for no reason.

I think the developer should be addressed directly about these concerns. The developer, or more precisely, the HOA Board, is the only one who can answer the dues questions. No homeowner knows because no homeowner has the information. The current year budget was never released, and the financial statements haven't been provided. SBB works for the HOA Board. No one can force them to answer questions on a homeowner discussion board. "Those in the know" aren't anymore because there is no more Advisory Committee. If SBB or the HOA Board won't answer, don't blame the VOWS homeowner website.

But he and others would never give details of why they were upset with the AC. Exactly! Yet they are the first to scream loudly if "their" questions weren't answered immediately. nflguy, you should be able to figure out who I am by my screen name. Email me (we've corresponded before) and I can elaborate on the little bit I know. Certainly there is a reason but I think it has more to do with past conflicts between the individuals involved than anything else.

On the Forums from Woodlandsprings.com ask the following: 1. Who owns the web site? 2. Who pays for the web site? 3. Who picks the moderators? 4. Why are the moderators so involved prior to last week? 5. Why won't the web site owner remove moderators not following their own rules? 6. Why not replace them all and start with a complete new group? 7. Why when you ask a question you were told by a moderator misleading information? 8. Why when you asked questions you are made the problem? Ask questions and see where it gets you....

On the Forums from Woodlandsprings.com ask the following: Some of your questions (1-4) are answered by an article on the home page - "Forum Moderators". Why ask repeat questions when the answer is already posted? What moderator isn't following the rules and which rule has been violated? What moderator has posted misleading information? Why do you want to replace a group that has been in place less than two weeks? Who would replace them and who would choose them? That request was made on the other board - how many people agreed? 2, 3? Look at who they were. No one outside of the group that has been stirring things up the past few months has supported that.

I am one of those "stirring" the pot as you say. It is because I have been told information and given information that is appalling to me. Some of what I know I have posted on the website only to be deleted and now I am banned. If you want info, contact me at caracc80@aol.com. I can put you in touch with the individuals that have documents.
I would also venture to guess that navy85 is either a moderator on the other site or a very close personal friend. Dave is not following his own rules on the other website. Everybody sees it and when pointed out, it gets deleted. That's why the other website is a total joke now. They don't want you to ask any questions.
Frank Friar wrote in one of his posts to ask SBB or an AC member about your homeowner dues. Now that the AC is gone, SBB has been asked questions regarding the dues and their reply is that they don't know, to ask Pauline. WHAT?

If I remember correctly, we would get an income statement from SBB last year along with our PRINTED newsletter. I wish we still had those printed newsletters, since a lot of homeowners do not know about the web-site.
