Congratulations to the new Advisory Committee members. All of them have my full support in their efforts, and they need yours as well. These seven individuals stepped forward; the rest of us did not. We have therefore elected them to represent us by our own (in)actions.
Over the past few months, the woodlandsprings.com website has become a divisive issue within our community. Meanwhile, we have new schools being built without a safe walking route for our children, increasing traffic by the day on our two-lane country roads, and no reserve fund for capital improvements to our HOA infrastructure. We have multiple groups of homeowners approaching the city about the same transportation issues, which only causes confusion at city hall.
Ask yourself - what is really important and where should we be focusing our efforts? If you are honest with yourself, I don't think using the non-trademarked phrase "Villages of Woodland Springs" in a foundation name is a significant issue, nor is who owns this website. How do these issues really impact us? On the other hand, the schools, roads, and HOA finance can negatively affect all of our property values or result in a special HOA assessment. I truly do not understand the bitterness and emnity I have seen on the three websites associated with our community and in the four homeowner meetings I have attended in the past year.
We have a new group to represent our interests to the developer and HOA board. Let's unite behind them to better our community, and leave the divisiveness of the past 6 months behind.

Great Post. Im sorry that i will probably be the only person to read it here. Its good to see that the other site has calmed down a bit. This site no longer seemes needed in my opinion. I will keep it open just incase problems arise again on the main site.

Very succinct post navy85.
I think it would be very useful for you to leave it open nflguy - it is very useful site, if only as a "escape valve" for the other site.

My wife and I had to leave at 830; sorry we missed you - maybe catch up with you all at an open advisory committee meeting (if they have them) - they are usually interesting! Friar

VOWS, I too can put very few names to faces from this site. I did attend the meeting and was able to 'see' a few faces. I was appalled at the behavior of some of the 'faces' at the meeting. I just don't understand adults that can let themselves be goaded into that type of behavior! There were lots of answers evaded at the meeting with, yet again, lawyerly answers. There were questions beaten like a dead horse, as well. I think the most disturbing thing for me, was that I was personally approached by an individual that posts here in a 'not so nice' manner. It was done in a very 'sneaky' way, as well. The meeting and all that happened during and after certainly shed new light on several things and people. To name a few things that I now see in a whole new way are; SBB, the Queens, Dave & Pauline Veness, rbprovo, laralee33, Mehrdad..........There are a few more but the list was getting too long. I am hoping that the 'new' AC will be able to move beyond the past and move forward in many areas. I also hope it will be able to uncover the truth about some of the questions surrounding some of the issues discussed here and on the 'other' websites. I am anxious to see how they fare. I am also hoping that we will see some 'new blood' in volunteers this next year. It would be nice to see a printed newsletter say, once a quarter, for all to see. Not everyone in VOWS comes into these websites. I personally know of people who don't use computers at home. We need to be able to reach those people, as well. We need them to volunteer in the community. How can they if they don't know what there is to be done? We have such potential to be a great community. Hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!

May I ask you what this "whole new way" of veiwing me is? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? Since it is me you are speaking of, I think it is a fair question.
