If I could figure out how to quote someone I would : This has all been very draining for me but time will tell. Thanks for letting me vent. There should be a button that says "Quote" in the top right of each post (that will include the author's name & time). If that doesn't work, copy & paste what you want to quote and put the word "quote" in between [] before the section and "/quote" between [ ] after. We agree that this is all very draining.

It all comes down to the home owners will not have control of the HOA until the builder lets it go via the homeowner rules. Who in there right mind would want to deal with this mess at this time anyway.
I feel Trina is going a great job. Remember she has rules to follow and has to take direction from her boss.
Pauline is a tireless worker who frankly spends more time trying to help the community that anyone else. I do not know many people who can keep up with her. Pauline my hat is off to you and all you do. My take on the AC going away. Pauline does not have the sub committees to help.
No homeowner has any control over the developer and who he gives his money too.
I do not know how many people have been hurt by the other web site. It seems like there are a lot out there. The only suggestion I can give is stay away from it for a few weeks. Give it a break. Emotions have been running way too high.
I have complaints about the web site. I have made them to the owner. I feel it is turning into something no one wanted. A chat room for Queen's of something and a forsale sign. I think one moderator has pissed off so many people they are not going to take it any longer. if you have been reading posts from the last year then its clear.
Everyone please stop the labeling. I keep hearing the term BADAPPLE used a great deal. This tends to start a us against them attitude. We do not need it in Vows.

I agree with you that there is one moderator in particular that pisses off people. No names, but it starts with a D and ends with an E... I was upset that I got banned from the other site and no reason whatsoever was given to me. D---E has made rude comments to me and others on the website and I feel that it was personal. I also have emailed the "owner" and gotten no response there either. It is all fluff on there now and I assume that's why there are more and more everyday on this site. Thanks nflguy for putting this up for us and letting us finally have a say in our community!

When you get banned, is it forever or for a certain amount of time?

Just a quick note. I hope that posters here refrain from using "Admin49" or "Vows" as usernames. Thanks

4stamps, how long is a person banned for? You as a moderator should be able to answer that question for us. Also, aren't you supposed to give warnings and/or reasons for banning that person? What rule was violated?

Tiger, I mean, concerned guest....what do you think you got banned for? Do you take any responsibility or are you going to continue to say it is bcause of a "conspiracy?"

BTW, I never said there was a "conspiracy"...those are your words, not mine.

Very strange...that homeowners think $3000 sounds like a lot of money to be contributed to the Fall Festival, when VOWS has more than 2300 residences. That amount breaks down to slightly over a dollar per household for food and entertainment.
I wish my household food costs were near $1 per day for my household of four...not even close.
What does this community expect for $3000 and 2300 households?

concerned guest is not tiger...
Here is an excerpt from the Terms of Service regarding warnings:
"Failure to comply with the above restrictions can result in any combination of the following actions:
Offline warnings by a moderator. Deleted postings without warning. Suspended user account. Complete ban from any registered-user-only content "
You were given a warning. You don't really want me to go back and copy/paste it here, do you? I don't post on this site to perpetuate the rift in our community.
I said earlier that I would not get into the details of any moderator actions. That is one of the guidelines I agreed to before becoming a moderator and is non-negotiable. Suffice it to say that no one is or has been banned for a single post.
There is no set time on banning. Wait a week or two and send another email simply asking to be reinstated.

Concerned guest, I apologize for assuming you were _____. Your posts seemed to have the same tone as his...As for the money spent on the festival....I believe we all agree that it is okay to have our money go to community affairs, it is the accounting that seems to an issue. Where is the accountablity? We have a landscape comapny that is doing a terrible job, serious violations that are going on in the neighborhood and no way to really see what the money is being spent on.....if everyone pays their dues, it is over 800,000.00 dollars a year that should be accounted for....we know a LARGE portion is spent on postage but what else? This HOA is a one way street..... ps....where are the chickens?

That is what scares me a bit about the "Woodland Springs Foundation" -- the accountability factor.
